About Blocks of Hope

IN HAITI…

+ 6 years after the 2010 earthquake, over 350,000 are still living in makeshift housing
+ Poor living conditions leave people open to elements like rain, disease, and crime
+ Most houses cost around $5,500 to build
+ Almost every living condition in Haiti is unsanitary; without running water or septic systems
+ The average number of Haitians living in a 400 square foot dwelling is 7

WE’RE BUILDING UP HOPE BY…

+ Building homes for displaced families
+ Building and repairing homes found in poor condition
+ Supplying jobs for Haitian workers
+ Providing training for Haitians on the craft of construction and masonry

YOU CAN GET INVOLVED BY…

+ Financially giving to the Block of Hope program to provide funds for the building and reparation of houses in Haiti.
+ Collecting currently needed resources for our home building projects
+ Participating in the “BLOCK OF HOPE Lego Project” to raise funds for houses from the US.
